Bring all of your family to Downtown Massillon and ring in the holiday season, with entertainment, festive decorations with 1000's of lights, and of course the one and only Santa Claus! FREE family fun begins at 5:30PM with the 63rd Annual Holiday Parade with the Light Up Stage Show featuring the Pop Tarts and Fairless Silver Wings performance to welcome Santa Claus in his sleigh and then to his cottage following. Kids will also enjoy train rides provided by the Tuslaw Lions Club.
Head to Historic Downtown Canal Fulton for an afternoon filled with holiday cheer! Enjoy photos with Santa, wood and ice carvers, delicious food, boutique shopping, Oberlin House & Museum Tours, and live music throughout the afternoon! The fun begins at 3PM and most activities are free or very minimal cost. Head up to the Public Square at 5:15PM and enjoy a Christmas Performance by the Northwest Choir and then enjoy the Electric Lights Parade along Canal Street. Tree Lighting Ceremony takes place at 6:30PM in Public Square.
Beginning at 3PM at the Caboose in Downtown Alliance enjoy hot cider, Christmas carols and family photo opportunities. At 4PM at the Mountain of the Lord Church on East Main Street find yourself in awes with the holiday baking display contest, holiday cookies and hot chocolate, live entertainment, appearances by the Carnation Queen and Court and of course SANTA! Lighting of the tree will take place at 5:30PM in Freedom Square.
The 19th Annual An Evening in the Village will be held Sunday, December 3rd from 4:30-7pm in Historic Downtown Hartville. The evening includes a live nativity, wagon rides, cookie contest and open houses at downtown shops. The Christmas tree in the square will be designated a Remembrance Tree and ornaments with loved ones names can be added. Following the lighting, local church and school choirs will perform. Visitors can also bid on silent auction items to benefit Hartville’s new police K9 unit.
Many family memories will be made when kids watch Santa arrive by fire truck to kick off the evening at 4:30PM and then enjoy the tree lighting at 5PM. Crafts, barrel train rides, and story time in the train car will keep them busy all evening.
You don't want to miss this FREE event spanning 14 city blocks of entertainment, refreshments, and a live stage show beginning at 5:45PM featuring Santa, Christopher Pop-in-Kins, Sound of the South-Canton High School Show Choir, Candy Apple’s Dance Center, Shirley’s School of Dance, McKinley Singers, En-Rich-Ment of Stark County, McKenzie Mack, Bella Gill, and Hannah Jamison. Then enjoy FIREWORKS at 6:30pm!
After the show concludes, you can look forward to carriage rides, show choirs, local dance troupe performances, children’s crafts, pictures with Santa and many other activities. The downtown center city is transformed into a winter wonderland for the occasion, and local businesses will provide activities and refreshments.
