Canton Summer Festival Guide

April 17, 2019 -- With warm weather, live music, delicious food, arts, cultural experiences, entertainment for the kids (and kids at heart!) and celebrations of greatness, from May until September, you will find yourself exploring your way through Stark County!

Brick Street Art & Jazz Festival | May 18 | Downtown Minerva


Admire the beauty of Downtown Minerva and enjoy a full day of jazz music, arts activities and so much more!


Vintage Canton | May 23 | Central Plaza in Downtown Canton


Vintage Canton is a sophisticated downtown gathering, offering distinctive center city charm alongside live music, vibrant art exhibits and, of course, quality local wine and wine from around the world! Guests will receive a ticket for 8 wine tastings, gourmet cheeses and breads, and there will also be samplers from local restaurants for purchase!


Canton Greek Fest | June 6-8 | St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church


The three-day event features Indoor and Outdoor dining, performances by the St. Haralambos Hellenic Dancers, Wine Tasting Room, Live Music, Cooking Demonstrations, Vendors, Flea Market, Drive Thru and Kids Playground.  This family friendly event is rain or shine and offers free parking and free admission. Come celebrate summer the Greek way!


Canton Blues Fest | June 7 & 8 | Downtown Canton


Northeast Ohio’s premier FREE blues fest will be featuring headliner Tinsley Ellis on Friday night and Kenny Neal on Saturday night. Opening acts Low Society and Andy T. featuring Alabama Mike & Anson Funderburgh will take the stage at 6:30PM on Friday and Saturday respectively.


Stark County Italian-American Festival | June 13-15 | Weis Park


Enjoy a weekend of delicious Italian food, great entertainment including cultural music, dancing, and local favorite bands. Are you a bocce player? Enjoy tournament play all weekend long!


The 30th Annual Cruise-On-In & Dance Party | June 15 | Downtown Massillon

The Country Fest | June 20-22 | Clay’s Park & Resort


The Country Fest is the ultimate country fan experience with camping, swimming, and awesome shows! 2019 headliners include Thomas Rhett, Brantley Gilbert, Chris Young, Justin Moore, Dustin Lynch, Kip Moore and many, many more!


Jackson Township Community Celebration | June 26-June 29 | Jackson North Park


Enjoy live entertainment each night, rides and games from Bates Amusement, your favorite festival food concessions, fireworks, and the ever popular 5K “Night Glow” run/walk!


Canton First Friday: Chalk the Walk | July 5 | Canton Arts District


First Friday is a monthly party in the downtown Canton Arts District, featuring music, performances, and visual arts events. This party is one to be matched, with over 20 chalk artists using Downtown Canton as their canvas.


Olde Canal Days Festival | July 11-13 | Downtown Canal Fulton


The Olde Canal Days Festival includes rides provided by Bates Amusement, food vendors, arts and crafts, a Grand Parade, fireworks, entertainment, historical re-enactments, and rides on The Canal Boat!


MassMu Island Party | July 12 | Massillon Museum


A FREE family-friendly event with live reggae music and children’s activities! Purchase pulled pork or jerk sandwiches and the tropical bar will offer a variety of island drinks. Bring a chair and blanket and settle in for the evening!


Warrior Dash | July 20 | Clay’s Park & Resort


Participants earn their Warrior helmet by tackling a fierce 3-4-mile course and 12 extreme obstacles. After conquering the Battleground, Warriors celebrate with turkey legs, beer steins and live music at a post-race party that’s in a league of its own!


Zoar Harvest Festival and Antiques Show | July 27 | Historic Zoar Village


More than 60 premier antique dealers from across the country will gather here, along with juried artisans and purveyors of fine crafts, furniture and folk art. Additional attractions include: museum tours; horse-drawn wagon rides; food vendors and beer tent; an antique car show (Sunday); herding dog and working animal demos; demonstrations on 19th century methods of weaving, spinning, blacksmithing, and more.


Balloon Classic & Fireworks | July 26-28 | Kent State University at Stark/Stark State College


You will be amazed with hot air balloons, dozens of food and beverage vendors, musical entertainment, mobile tours, children’s activities, Night Glow and a fireworks extravaganza!


Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Week Powered by Johnson Controls | August 1-4


Each year tens of thousands of fans descend upon Canton to celebrate the Enshrinement of the newest class of Hall of Famers! Thursday night kicks off the festivities, with the annual Hall of Fame game as the Atlanta Falcons face off against the Denver Broncos, followed by the Enshrinees’ Gold Jacket Dinner Friday night, The Canton Repository Grand Parade and Enshrinement Ceremony Saturday, and the festivities wrap up with the Concert for Legends featuring Imagine Dragons.


Greater Alliance Carnation Festival | August 1-11 | Carnation Mall and Silver Park


Enjoy the Rib Fest at the Carnation Mall from August 1st through 3rd at the Carnation Mall featuring rib vendors, additional food vendors, rides and games, and entertainment each evening. August 7th through 10th will be held in Silver Park and families can enjoy food vendors, craft sales, kids’ activities, entertainment, and a large fireworks display! Don’t miss the Carnation Festival Parade on Saturday, August 10th!


Massillon Fun Fest | August 10 | Downtown Massillon


Free and open to everyone! Games, story times, prizes, face painting, contests, art projects, dancing, crafts, health and safety activities, athletic events, and music. The day will be filled with hands-on experiences, inflatables, health screenings, carnival games, and so much more! It’s sure to be a fun filled day!


Neon Nights | August 23 & 24 | Clay’s Park Resort


A 2-Day country music festival celebrating country music of the 80s & 90s. Featuring the biggest national acts, including Alabama, Dwight Yoakam, Sawyer Brown, David Lee Murphy and many more. Enjoy this one of a kind country music festival focused on an up-close fan experience.

One of Ohio’s longest-running agricultural fairs—featuring a country concert, truck and tractor pulls, demolition derbies, band shows, harness racing, daily concerts and entertainment, rides, animals, exhibits, fair food and MORE!

G.L.O. 5K and Festival | September 7 | Hartville MarketPlace & Flea Market 


Enjoy the ultimate blend of a 5K run followed by live music all day at G.L.O. (GivingLight to Others) 5K & Festival. This event will feature a ‘food truck rally’ and incorporate activities for the whole day with plenty to entertain the entire family!


The Draft Party | September 7 | Pro Football Hall of Fame


The first-ever Pro Football Hall of Fame Craft Beer Festival! The Draft Party will feature 60 breweries. Including 1 brewery from each NFL city! Each Festival goer will receive a Taster Glass and Tasting Tickets for the beer festival.
