Holiday Weekend Special Events & Activities

Check out the Drive-Thru Holiday Light Display at Stadium Park. With over 30 holiday light displays, it’s a fun drive-through location. The cost is FREE. Stadium Park is located at 1615 Stadium Park Drive, 44718 in Canton. Open daily from Thanksgiving-January 10, 2022. To find out more information call Canton Parks and Recreation at 330.456.4521.


Free Kids Friday at the Pro Football Hall of Fame | November 26 


Spend your Thanksgiving weekend at the Pro Football Hall of Fame to kick off the holidays with your family. Don't miss out on this annual tradition and enjoy up to 4 kids (12 and under) FREE with 1 paid adult admission ($28). Kids will love the FREE Gameday Goodie Bag provided (while supplies last). 


Oakwood Village of Shops | November 26 & 27


Black Friday and Small Business Saturday! Spend some of your shopping time and dollars locally (here!). Guests will enjoy 15+ local artists and vendors will be set up in over a dozen Millcraft Barn buildings arriving at Oakwood Square green space just in time for the holidays!


Nature's A Glow at Beech Creek Gardens | November 26-28 


Beech Creek Gardens, home of the fabulous butterfly gardens, has fun for the family all year! Their botanical garden glows with holiday spirit and is transformed into a natural wonderland filled with unique areas to explore and things to learn about the wonders of winter nature. Enjoy lots of hands-on activities for all ages! Visitors can make their own special ornament to take home, join an elf dance party and see wild critters up close. Discover beautiful light displays as you wander through the enchanted gardens at night and enjoy complimentary hot cocoa and roasting marshmallows near a toasty campfire. Open 5PM until 9PM and admission is only $8 per person. Children 2 year and younger are FREE.


Holiday Movie Special “A Christmas Story” at the Canton Palace Theatre | November 26 & 27


Nothing says ring in the holiday season, like going to the Canton Palace Theatre with your family to watch a holiday classic! You will be laughing with the kids and bringing back memories watching the Christmas classic “A Christmas Story”, where Ralphie has to convince his parents, his teacher, and Santa that a Red Ryder B.B. gun really is the perfect gift for the 1940s! Tickets are available at the door for $10 with the movie starting at 7:30PM.


Christmas on the Farm at Nickajack Farms | November 27 & 28


Christmas on the Farm includes indoor ice skating, animals, hot cocoa, bonfire with s'mores, crafting with NickaJack's special elves, and of course visits with Santa in his Toy Barn!! Admission cost is $12 per person, 2 and under is free. For an additional cost, you can take a pony ride for $6 and make reindeer food for $1.50 per bag. Come to the farm and enjoy the magic of the season.


Ohio State vs. Michigan Watch Party | November 27 


Gather your friends and come watch one of the biggest rivalry games in college football in the club at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium. The game will be able to be viewed from both scoreboards as well as indoor TVs. Food and Beverages will be available for purchase. Half-time chalk talk with local Ohio State and Michigan alumni players. Tickets are $10 and group discounts are available.


Planetarium Shows at the McKinley Presidential Library & Museum | November 27


Walk off all of those Thanksgiving dinner carbs by visiting the McKinley Monument and walking up the 108 steps to the top! Explore the McKinley Presidential Library & Museum with family fun and activities for all ages! Enjoy hands-on activities in the Discover World, including animal friends at the Ecology Island, capture your shadow in Fascination Station, and interact with Alice the Allosaurus! Kids (or kids at heart!) will enjoy simulated fossil digs, experience the power of electricity, and discover the properties of light and magnetism! Learn about the history of Stark County and learn American history from President McKinley himself! Take a step back in time into the Street of Shops and view the gorgeous decorated trees in each shop. Gaze at the stars during one of the Planetarium shows, included with the price of admission! Complete your visit with some holiday shopping in their Museum Shoppe. 


The Museum is open 9AM until 4PM. Cosmic Kids (Ages 3 & up) Planetarium shows begin at 11AM and 11:30AM and Universe at Large (Ages 7 & up) Planetarium shows are at 1PM and 2PM. Admission is $10 per adult, $9 for seniors, and $8 for kids 3-18.  


Ernie Haase & Signature Sound at Hartville Kitchen | November 27 


Ernie Haase & Signature Sound are coming to Hartville Kitchen for a Matinee and Evening Show!  Experience the warm atmosphere and delicious food Hartville Kitchen has to offer while enjoying a great concert or show! Get up close and personal with some of the biggest entertainers around. Bring your family to celebrate the Hartville tradition and create new memories.


Hall of Fame Village Holiday Kickoff at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium | November 27 


At the Hall Of Fame Village Holiday Kickoff guests will enjoy live entertainment from local performers and the option to get in some early Christmas shopping by visiting our onsite vendors! Admission is FREE with a suggested food or cash donation to the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank. Activities include Spirit of the Season 5K, Fireworks Show, Virtual Tree Lighting, Pictures with Santa, Live Ice Sculptor, Reindeer Petting Zoo, Inflatables, and more! For guests who are 21+ there will be an After Party in the Club of Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium. Tickets are $15 and include live entertainment from Half the Nation and Holiday Ale and Spirits will be available to purchase.
