Cryptids at the Creek: A two-day festival where nature and adventure come together through immersive experiences, a nighttime Moth Night, local vendors, themed activities, and family-friendly fun. Whether you're searching for Bigfoot, exploring the trails, or discovering cryptid-inspired art and educational programs, you'll never know what you might encounter at the Creek.
A one-of-a-kind summer festival that brings local legend and the outdoors together for a day of cryptid-inspired activities, nature and science exploration, local vendors, food trucks, and family-friendly fun!
Cryptid-Themed Activities Include:
- Bigfoots "Sole" Mission: Hike the Fern Ridge Trail and try to find all of Bigfoot's footprints while also learning about sustainability and how you can help our environment.
- Mothman Investigation Station: Analyze Mothman sighting reports that actually describe real native animals, and attempt to identify them.
- Frogman's Field Study: Collect pond water samples, identify macroinvertebrates, or "macros", and learn hoe these tiny organisms contribute to their ecosystems.
- Bessie's Waterway Watch: Dip your toes into the creek, and search for evidence of native, aquatic animals that might share a similar environment to Bessie, the Lake Erie Monster.
- Cryptid Sound Safari: Hike the Spicebush Trail while learning to identify native wildlife and the natural sounds often mistaken for cryptids.
