Walborn Reservoir
Overview
Located just north of Alliance, Walborn Reservoir encompasses 2,448 acres and provides the perfect escape for horseback riding, hiking, fishing, canoeing, and kayaking. Quiet trails travel through brush lands and forests and offer shoreline views of eagles, ospreys, and migratory birds flying over the reservoir.
Stark Parks offers Marinas at both Sippo Lake Park in Perry Township and Walborn Reservoir in Alliance. Those marinas are open seasonally from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Check their website for specific hours and dates.
Both marinas offer bait, beverages and light snacks for sale, as well as rental of stand up paddleboards, kayaks, and canoes. Pedal boats are available at Sippo Lake and motor boats are available at Walborn Reservoir. Life jackets (pfd) and paddles are provided. No advance reservations are necessary, rentals are first-come, first-served. Cash and major credit cards are accepted. An accessible fishing pier and boat launch (boats up to 21 feet and 10 hp) are next to each marina. Residents age 16 and over must carry a fishing license and ID to fish at Stark Parks. Must be 18 years old to rent a boat or have parent/guardian sign waiver form in person at the marina. Find rental rates and what to bring or leave available at https://starkparks.com/boat-rentals/
