The MAPS Air Museum (Military Aviation Preservation Society) is an internationally known museum of aviation and serves as a center of that history in Northeast Ohio. The Museum features over 55 types of aircraft dating from the one of a kind 1908 Martin Glider to an F-16 Fighting Falcon and a C130 Hercules. MAPS has over 130 displays of acquired historical artifacts and interactive exhibits.
The museum is also a War Memorial as within our Gallery of Heroes there is a relic of the battleship USS Arizona from the attack on Pearl Harbor in December 1941.
Explore the site of Ohio’s only Revolutionary War fort at Fort Laurens Museum. Tour the grounds that helped shape America’s history over 200 years ago and learn about soldiers on the frontier. Pay homage to the unknown defenders of the fort at the Tomb of the Unknown Patriot of the American Revolution. Fort Laurens is a must-see destination for anyone interested in learning more about American history, featuring a unique museum filled with various military and Native artifacts. The fort also hosts a variety of events that engage guests of all ages and educates them about many pivotal periods in America’s and Ohio’s history. You can also take a scenic path through the Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath Trail that goes from Fort Laurens to its sister site, Historic Zoar Village.
The McKinley Presidential Library & Museum is a family friendly history and science museum. The Museum includes the McKinley Gallery, the Street of Shops, the Keller Gallery, Discover World, the Hoover-Price Planetarium, Ramsayer Research Library and their permanent exhibit, The Stark County Story. The McKinley National Memorial, burial site of President William McKinley and his family, is also on the Museum grounds.

Veterans Park offers a dog park, ADA accessible playground, splash pad, picnic shelter, a sledding hill and a 1.09 loop trail. The trail also connects to the Stark Parks Middle Branch Trail, a 7.7 Mile Trail from Canton to Plain Township.
Veterans Memorial Hillside:
The memorial includes a Keystone Monument, Honor Garden with POW/MIA Honor Chair, Blue Star Marker, Gold Star Marker, POW/MIA Monument, Purple Heart Monument, Battlefield Cross, and Bald Eagle Statue.

Westbrook Veterans Memorial Park
The park features a dedicated public war memorial honoring Stark County veterans from all conflicts and branches of service. You can also walk the pathway between the USS Maine monument and the Veterans Retreat Gazebo, which is lined with commemorative bricks honoring individual local veterans.
East Canton Veterans Monument
Dedicated by the Lowell D. Oberly American Legion Post 667, the front of the stone monument reads, "In Honor of All Veterans Who Served in the Armed Forces of Our Country." The reverse side lists the specific war eras commemorated, spanning from World War I and World War II through the Vietnam, Persian Gulf, and Panama conflicts.
