Massillon Family Fun Fest

Hosts MassMu, Massillon WestStark Chamber of Commerce, and Massillon Parks & Recreation Department will bring Fun Fest to downtown Massillon again!

Admission to the family-focused festival is free. There is no cost for most activities; a few require a minimal charge. Nearly 100 local social service agencies, civic groups, law enforcement agencies, churches, arts organizations, and businesses will set up games, art projects, activities, and health and safety information stations.

The event will be full of live music, dance, cheer, gymnastics, and entertaining performances—including the Honey Town Band, Divine Harmony Entertainment on stilts and more, the Massillon Tiger Swing Band Drum Line, a comedy magician, guitarist Chris McBurney, and concertina player Sal Vino.

Princesses Moana and Merida will be onsite as will clowns Phil and Bertha. Kids of all ages can ride the Tuslaw Lions train. Touch-a-Truck in the municipal parking lot will include a SARTA bus, the Massillon Public Library Bookmobile, tow trucks, law enforcement vehicles, bucket trucks, street department vehicles, and a fire truck.

Among the special attractions will be inflatables, balloon sculptures, bubbles, science wonders, puppets, and air hockey.

Children will be invited to spin for prizes; create slime; have their faces painted; play cornhole; make bracelets; pet animals; get temporary tattoos; meet a bald eagle; toss a football; shoot some hoops; and participate in dozens more free activities.

Families will take home free school supplies, sunglasses, balloons, hygiene supplies, books, health and safety information, and more.

Guests can visit the Massillon Museum galleries with no admission fee, as always, during and after Fun Fest.
