Heartland Yarn Adventure

The Heartland Yarn Adventure is a yarn crawl across 4 states — Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, and Ohio — running from July 25th through August 3rd.You don’t have to visit every state! The idea is to explore the shops that are local to you, or plan a little road trip to discover new shops and nearby tourist spots, like Ohio’s beautiful parks and waterfalls.

How do you participate? You’ll need a Heartland Yarn Adventure Passport, which lists all participating shops.

At each shop you visit, you’ll get a stamp in your passport — plus enjoy goodies, freebies, giveaways, and more. And after the event, the passport doubles as a handy guide to local craft shops you can visit anytime in the future.

The passport is just $5 and comes with a collectible pin.

Why join? Aside from enjoying a summer adventure, this is a wonderful way to explore local and regional yarn and craft shops — each one is unique. For example, our shop, Bare Naked Wools, specializes in 100% natural, undyed yarns. Or you could visit a farm like 2 Point Farm Alpaca in Kentucky, where you can pet the animals and buy yarn made from their fiber.

During the event, many shops will also host special sales, giveaways, knit-alongs, and more. It’s also a great way to meet fellow crafters and support small businesses in our community!

The event kicks off Friday, July 25th, and runs through Sunday, August 3rd.
