Looking for an unforgettable experience to celebrate Father's Day? A way to spend time together and make forever memories? Building terrariums together is so much fun! Adults and kids alike love to create these self-sustaining eco-systems. 1 ticket covers all the materials and instructions for 1 2-gallon terrarium. 2 people may come on 1 ticket and work on a terrarium together! ...or buy 2 tickets so that you can each make your own. In this workshop, you will build your terrariums in 2-gallon glass jars, complete with a variety of plants, terrarium layers, landscaping materials, and... Zebra-striped or yellow Armadilidium Gestroi Ispods and Springtails! These guys are a perfect part of a complete ecosystem, cleaning up decomposing matter, keeping the soil loose, and entertaining you with their fascinating behaviors!
Enjoy refreshments (cookies almost as big as your face!), and an hour-long adventure as our knowledgeable staff guides you through the process of building a beautiful terrarium and learning about these fascinating creatures. It's the perfect activity to plan for the plant lovers in your life! This workshop is appropriate for ages 8 -adult.
