Amphibian Safari Night Hike
April 17, 2026 8:00 PM –9:00 PM
Overview
Join The Wilderness Center for a night hike that doubles as a community science project! Learn how to identify frog vocalizations, then hike around TWC’s wetlands, collecting data on our native toads and frog populations.
These amphibians play an important role in wetland ecosystems. Spring monitoring programs use their mating calls to track populations and inform conservation management decisions.
This program is recommended for ages 7 and up, as we will be around water.
After your hike, weather permitting, join the Astronomy Club in TWC’s Observatory to enjoy what the spring night sky has to offer through our telescopes!
