Born in Hobbs, New Mexico, and raised in the Lubbock, Texas area, Francisco’s life was shaped by hard work from an early age. As the son of a migrant worker, he left school at just 7 years old to labor in the cotton fields and spent weekends shining shoes for a nickel. These humble beginnings were the foundation of a remarkable journey that would bring bold, flavorful Tex-Mex cuisine to countless tables.
