Canton Ballet

A nonprofit arts organization founded in 1965, Canton Ballet comprises Ohio's largest preprofessional performing dance company and a classical ballet school which ranks among the top three preprofessional training centers in the state. The company of 50 junior and senior high school students presents an annual public season of performances at the Palace Theatre in the fall, winter and spring including its treasured full length production of The Nutcracker which has become a holiday tradition for families.

The School of Canton Ballet in state of the art facilities at the Cultural Center for the Arts offers a year round program for over 350 toddler to adult students in all levels from creative movement to advanced ballet. Under the artistic and executive direction of Cassandra Crowley Canton Ballet is a longtime member of Regional Dance America and OhioDance and receives operating support from Arts in Stark and the Ohio Arts Council along with partial support from individual donors, local businesses and foundations.
