You don’t want to miss seeing these historical planes take flight! The MAPS Air Museum will be hosting the Collings Foundation's 2017 "Wings of Freedom Tour" at our location on the west side of the Akron/Canton Airport off of SR241. Many rare Collings World War II aircraft will be available to see, walk through, and take rides on for a fee. The Collings Foundation is scheduled to bring to the event a Boeing B-17 " Flying Fortress" bomber, a Consolidated B-14 "Liberator" bomber, a B-25 North American "Mitchell" bomber, and a North American P-51 "Mustang" fighter. The $6 - $12 entry fee not only allows you to see these aircraft but also the entire MAPS Air Museum collection as well. One can make arrangements in advance to take a flight on one of the Collings Aircraft by calling 978-562-9182. Or, just come to the museum during the event.
