ArtsinStark and Visit Canton Seek Artists for Illumination

Illumination will feature a series of five temporary, public, light art installations throughout downtown Canton and light mapping at the Cultural Center for the Arts created by OBLSK, a team of artists, inventors, and designers based in Columbus, Ohio. Five individual or artist teams will be selected to create temporary, public light art installations throughout downtown Canton with an awarded budget of $2,000 each. Hall of Fame Resort & Entertainment Company Completes Merger

The combined public company will continue to develop an immersive, multi-use destination resort in Canton, Ohio named the Johnson Controls Hall of Fame Village, and a media program that unifies live entertainment and experiences, fantasy sports and eGaming with partners and content from some of the most powerful and storied brands in football, including the NFL Alumni Association and the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The premier sports, entertainment and media enterprise will begin trading on NASDAQ under the ticker symbols “HOFV” and “HOFVW”.

Canton Museum of Art Reopens June 30 with Free Admission

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Canton, OH): June 10, 2020 – The Canton Museum of Art (CMA) plans to reopen to the public in a limited capacity on Tuesday, June 30. CMA's first phase hours will be Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. through mid-July to allow time for proper cleaning of gallery and lobby areas before, during, and after opening. From June 30 through July admission will be free, courtesy of PNC Foundation. There will be limited capacity for the first month, approximately 25 percent of regular capacity, translating to roughly 200 free, timed-entry tickets available throughout the day.
