Illumination will feature a series of five temporary, public, light art installations throughout downtown Canton and light mapping at the Cultural Center for the Arts created by OBLSK, a team of artists, inventors, and designers based in Columbus, Ohio. Five individual or artist teams will be selected to create temporary, public light art installations throughout downtown Canton with an awarded budget of $2,000 each. The Illumination Art Call is now open to submit qualifications for consideration. Applications are due by Friday, October 9, 2020. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Canton, OH): June 10, 2020 – The Canton Museum of Art (CMA) plans to reopen to the public in a limited capacity on Tuesday, June 30. CMA's first phase hours will be Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. through mid-July to allow time for proper cleaning of gallery and lobby areas before, during, and after opening. From June 30 through July admission will be free, courtesy of PNC Foundation. There will be limited capacity for the first month, approximately 25 percent of regular capacity, translating to roughly 200 free, timed-entry tickets available throughout the day.

The estate’s newest addition, the distillery, known as The Still House, has most of the equipment and ingredients, including grain alcohol, to produce this much-needed product during the pandemic.
The Pro Football Hall of Fame Marathon will host the Road Runners Club of America Central Region Half Marathon Championship as part of Marathon Weekend scheduled for April 24-26, 2020. All runners participating in the Half Marathon event will be eligible to win overall and age group Regional Championship Awards in addition to the event specific awards.
