How the YDT Works

The Yarn Discovery Tour offer lots of ways to have fiber fun! Shop in-store and virtually as well. Virtual shopping can mean calling a shop or visiting a shop's e-commerce site. Check out the Participating Shops listings to view each shop's free pattern offerings.

It's important for you to check out an individual shop's website and your passport for complete information about that shop's business hours, etc.

Here are more details about the Yarn discovery Tour 2024:


- Purchase a passport ($10) at any participating shop. Available end of August. Supplies are limited.

- The 2024 Tour begins Tuesday, September 3 and concludes Sunday, September 22.

- You can participate by visiting shops in person or from home on our "virtual tour."

- Purchase a minimum of $10 (before tax) from any participating shop and receive that shop's free knit or crochet YDT pattern and entry into that shop's Prize Basket drawing ($100+ value).

- When you make your purchase, receive a passport stamp or sticker from that shop. Shop at a few shops or shop them all - either in-store or virtually.

- Purchase of your passport serves as your entry into YDT Prize Basket drawings as well.

- Prize winners will be drawn and notified the first week of October. Winners of YDT Prize Baskets may pick those up from their shop of choice via curbside delivery or in-store.

- Winners will be posted on the website as soon as possible after the YDT concludes.
