Woodland Wildlife Encounters
June 10, 2023
Overview
The Wildlife Conservation Center cares for sick, injured and orphaned wildlife and helps return them to the wild. Meet some wildlife ambassadors who are not able to be released back into the wild and learn more about conservation efforts. Hear their stories, unique features and personality, and what makes their journey growing up in the wild unique from 1 to 3 p.m. on June 10, 2023.
Participate in wildlife themed games and interactive activities. Children are encouraged to bring their favorite stuffed animal so wildlife rehabilitation volunteers can provide the animal a “check-up” and “certificate of good health". Consider parking at the Exploration Gateway to enjoy the beauty of nature while walking a trail to WCC.
Guests are asked to bring an item from the wish list. Needed items and supplies include:
receiving blankets, paper towels, tissues, canned fish, Purina puppy chow, Bird perches, gift cards to local pet supply stores and more! Please see a more completed list at www.starkparks.com. Tax deductible monetary donations are acceptable; checks should be written to Friends of Stark Parks and brought to the event or mailed to 800 Genoa Ave NW, Massillon, OH 44646.
