Dine with the Dearly Departed: Massillon’s Macabre History & Lore
April 21, 2023 6:00 PM –9:00 PM
Overview
Black Cat Tales & Tours provides seasonal ghost tours. Since it’s still a little too chilly to be walking around every dark corner, we’ll bring the stories to you! You will enjoy a scrumptious dinner and then hear the stories, legends, and lore about the darker side of Massillon and a little bit about Canton too. The program will include a tour of The Massillon Women’s Club, which has plenty of stories and a really interesting history. The home, also known as Five Oaks, was designed by the noted Cleveland architect Charles F. Schweinfurth and built in 1892. The name was adopted from five oak trees that stood on the lawn. Dinner includes a sticky bun, mandarin orange salad, chicken entree, green beans, pineapple upside down cake, and coffee/tea. (Please let us know if you have any food allergies when you register.) Your admission ticket for the evening will include dinner, taxes, gratuities, a tour of the venue, and the program, which focuses on local legends, history, and lore.
