Overview
Celebrate the warmth of the holidays at the National First Ladies Library and Museum with “A Timeless Holiday Tea” featuring a livestreamed program by Coleen Christian, former White House holiday decorator. During this lovely afternoon, you and your family or friends will have the opportunity to view our ‘Beyond Camelot" Jackie Kennedy exhibit, peruse the raffle baskets, and see our new temporary exhibit of past White House Christmas cards before enjoying an array of tea sandwiches, decadent desserts, and a winter salad accompanied by your choice of tea. As you finish your tea, settle in to hear Coleen Christian present “Decorating the White House” via livestream, where she will discuss her experience decorating our extraordinary national residence in 2008. Each guest will be able to write their very own holiday card to the White House! Advanced registration is required as space is limited to 60.
About Coleen Christian:
Coleen Christian is an esteemed interior decorator who was part of the White House decorating team in 2008, where she created icicle trees in the Grand Lobby and festive Fife and Drum motifs in the State Dining Room. She is the author of Christmas with the First Ladies: The White House Decorating Tradition from Jacqueline Kennedy to Michelle Obama.
