History in Pieces Zoar Quilt Exhibit
Valid April 1, 2023 to October 29, 2023
Category: Museum Exhibits
Historic Zoar Village’s 2023 season includes a limited-time “History in Pieces” quilt exhibit featuring quilts from Zoar’s own collection and the National Quilt Museum in Paducah, Ky. Zoar collection pieces were made in the 19th century and demonstrate period materials and techniques. Thirteen quilts on loan from the National Quilt Museum celebrate the characteristics that make America the “land of the free” and “home of the brave” and are some of the finest examples of American quilting from the last 40 years.
The exhibit is on display in the Bimeler Museum and is open during regular Historic Zoar Village hours:
April-May: Saturday 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Sunday noon - 4 p.m.
June-September: Wednesday through Saturday 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Sunday noon - 4 p.m.
October: Saturday 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Sunday noon - 4 p.m.
Exhibit admission is included in the general self-guided admission price of $10 for adults, $5 for children ages five to 17 and free for kids ages four and under. Admission is free at all times for members of Ohio History Connection and the Zoar Community Association.
