St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations 2017

March 1, 2017-Whether you have a bit o’ Irish in you or green is your favorite color—there are events for all ages happening this month of March for St. Patrick’s Day in Stark County. Everything from Irish cultural experiences, family fun events, and plenty of parties with green beer.

1. Canton First Friday: Luck of the Irish | March 3 | Canton Arts District

The downtown Canton Arts District will be alive with the luck of the Irish on March 3 for First Friday! Grab your bagpipes and head downtown for a night of art, live music, food, and fun for everyone! Enjoy special traditional Irish food and drinks at many downtown restaurants and enjoy Celtic music at many of the local art galleries and studios. Start your night at the Canton Museum of Art for a make-and-take project for kids & adults. First Friday means FREE Family Movie at the Canton Palace Theatre featuring “The Secret of Kells” beginning at 7:30PM. Don’t forget, buy $20 or more from your favorite downtown art gallery, and bring your receipt to Avenue Arts & Marketplace and get $5 back instantly!

2. St. Patty’s Day Painting | March 9 | Canton Brewing Company

Feeling lucky with your artistic skills? Get signed up for this paint class presented by StarkArt at the Canton Brewing Company! Gather your friends, paint a shamrock inspired painting, and enjoy the original brews at the CBC!

3. St. Patrick’s Day 5K | March 11 | Louisville High School

Get out your green and enjoy the beauty of Lousiville for this 5K! This event is presented by the Louisville High School Boys & Girls Cross Country Program and is a mostly flat course. Enjoy soup and refreshments afterwards!

4. St. Patrick’s Day Sale | March 17 | Best Bib & Tucker

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a Treasure Hunt at Best Bib & Tucker in Hartville! Come search for gold tone jewelry, hardware/zippers on purses, buckles on belts, etc. It's all 20% off!

5. A Taste of Ireland | March 17 & 18 | Fieldcrest Estate 

Gather your friends and join for an evening full of Irish beers, Irish food, lots of plaid and a darn good reason to kick up your heels! Join us Friday night for a performance by The O'Hare School of Irish Dance, and Saturday evening with the MacConmara Academy of Irish Dance. Erin Go Bragh!

6. FOT Open | March 17 | Factory of Terror 

It may not be Halloween but Factory of Terror is open for St. Patrick's Day! Only the luck of the Irish will be able to save you from all screams and scares at this one day event! Make sure to follow them on social media to find out all details about special events.

7. St. Patrick’s Day Bash | March 17 | Jerzees Belden Village 

Doors open at 5:30AM for one of the biggest St. Patrick’s Day parties in Stark County! DJ’s will be playing all day with the hottest music! Enjoy $1 green beer, $3 Bloody Mary’s, Screwdrivers, Leprechaun Bombs, and Jello Shots. Buck Naked Band will hit the stage at 9PM!

8. Wimpy Rutherford & The Cryptics | March 17 | Buzzbin Art & Music Shop 

Enjoy live music from Wimpy Rutherford & The Cryptics while enjoying your favorite brew at Buzzbin. Cover is just $5 and this party is sure to be rocking!

9. Find Gold at the Troll Hole Museum | March 18 | The Troll Hole Museum

Bring your children on a tour of The Troll Hole Museum Saturday, March 18th to find the chocolate gold coins of the St Patty's Day Troll! This mischievous troll has hidden golden chocolate coins all throughout the museum and we need YOUR help to find it all! Any chocolate coins you find will be yours to keep! This promises to be a fun filled scavenger hunt throughout rooms of trolls, a troll hunters cabin, DreamWorks trolls, a walk-through cave and more! Call today to schedule a tour!

10. An Evening of Celtic Music & Dance | March 25 | Roxy Theatre 

Enjoy the music and dance, as well as culinary treats, of Ireland and Scotland at the Historic Roxy Theatre! Tickets are just $5 per person for this amazing night out!
